Have you ever heard of “Big Chris” McCombs?

Honestly, unless you’re in the fitness business (a personal trainer, run a fitness website, or something like that), then you probably have no clue who he is.

And that’s cool – his game is to take people in the fitness industry and teach them how to improve their marketing efforts, business, attract clients, and all that kinda stuff.

He’s actually spent a few years building a small empire.

But it came with a cost. And it was carb cycling that reformed his life.

Time to Get in Shape – Carb Cycling Was the Key

“Big Chris” isn’t called ‘big’ for no reason – he’s a massive dude. Try 6’6″ and used to weigh 330+ lbs.

Wow. That’s big alright.

And as big as “Big Chris” is, that’s nothing compared to how big the weights this guy moves around in the gym. It’s not uncommon for small moving companies to want to hire this guy when their forklift breaks down. Well, a few years back, all the hard and heavy training caught up to “Big Chris” and he ended up with a hernia.

Ouch.

So, he had surgery to repair it…which went bad.

Ouch again.

Long story, short – “Big Chris” was put on the shelf from training. He was basically prohibited from doing any kinda real physical training. Since he couldn’t train, he figured this was the right time to start building his business and began to create that small empire I was telling you about.

Fast forward a few years, and “Big Chris” is living the big life. Making really good money. Ultra successful. Growing business. Lots of new business clients.

Everything is bigger. Including his waistline.

See, “Big Chris” had ballooned up to 330lbs.

He knew he had to make a change. He had to lose that weight.

“Big Chris” Lost Big Weight With Carb Cycling

The first thing “Big Chris” did was call Shelby Starnes.

In case you didn’t know, Starnes is pretty much known in insider circles as ‘the man’ for pro bodybuilders, powerlifters, athletes, and more to totally revamp their diet and get them in shape. Shelby has put hundreds of people on his carb cycling program, only to have them all break records and hit new PRs by the boatload.

“Big Chris” knew he had a lot of weight to lose, but he wanted to get stronger at the same time. So he knew carb cycling was what he needed to do – he called Shelby.

The end result? ”Big Chris” lost 75lbs in just 5 short months.

Wow.

Truth is, though, I can only tell you so much. If you really want to get the full effect of the change carb cycling has had on Big Chris’ life, click the picture below so you can read the story as only he can tell you, as he pours his heart out…

Carb Cycling – The “2-Day” Diet?

There’s one reason why most people fail with their diets – they can’t stick to them.

Most diets make your life miserable. It’s not that you can’t enjoy how you eat (well, I guess that is a problem with some diets), but it’s the fact that you’re looking at some seriously long-term effort to make any real headway and accomplish anything.

On the other hand, carb cycling doesn’t make you do that.

Carb Cycling – Only “Diet” a Couple Days at a Time

Carb cycling is a diet plan that involves three different types of meal plans:

days with high carb intake

days with moderate carb intake

days with low carb intake

You then rotate – or ‘cycle’ – through these days throughout the week. (Hence the term ‘carb cycling’.) You’ll do a day or two of low carb intake, a day of high carb intake, a day of low carb intake, etc. How you cycle through these days will depend on your current bodyweight, what your workouts are like during the week, and other such factors.

But this is the thing that sets carb cycling apart from almost all other diet programs…

See, with other diets, you’re in it for the long haul. Once you start, any possible relief is a loooooonnnnngggg way off. That makes it hard to stick to long-term. And it doesn’t matter what kind of diet you’re on, success is ultimately determined by how long and consistently you stick to it.

(Remember that old saying – the most effective workout is the one that you’ll actually do?)

Carb Cycling – The Diet “You Will Actually Do”

Now, I’m not going to lie to you and say that carb cycling is always fun or easy. In the beginning, you will probably hate your low carb intake days…especially when you just want a sandwich or see your friends eating pasta. And if you’re used to eating carbs a lot, you might find yourself kind of tired or lacking energy on your low carb days.

(Though you *do* get used to that pretty quickly – I actually feel better and have *more* energy on my low carb days now.)

Here’s the kicker though – on a carb cycling diet, the days you don’t like (the low carb days) just don’t last that long. Most of the time, you only have to do a couple days in a row – three, tops. After that, you’re back to a moderate or high carb day…something you enjoy.

That means that the “hard” part of this diet lasts all of 2 days before you get a break. It’s almost like having 2-3 “cheat days” per week.

And that’s why this is the diet “you will actually do” – because you only have to go through the hard parts for a couple days at a time. Tell me, is there ANYTHING you can do for just two measly days?

HINT – The answer is NO.

Listen, do this – click on the big picture below and to find out about carb cycling (my favorite diet plan). Oh, and you know those pics of “Big Chris” and how he lost 75 lbs in 5 months? You’ll get to read his story, too.

How Carb Cycling Keeps Helps You Build Muscle And Lose Fat…At the SAME TIME

As important as Calories In vs Calories out is to losing weight (getting that in check is the #1 thing you have to do to drop bodyfat), where those calories come from can also have just as drastic effect on your weight loss efforts.

I mean, did you know that one of the reasons eating too many carbohydrates leads to getting fat *isn’t* because you eat too many calories, but because your insulin levels get all jacked up?

Carb Cycling will help you lose weight by keeping that from ever happening.

Why You Should Control Insulin With Carb Cycling

Every time you eat carbs, your body wants to use them for energy by breaking them down into glucose. When it does, it triggers your body to release insulin. This is good because a small increase in insulin results can lead to extra muscle being built – and this is a good thing.

The problem comes in where most people just eat way too many carbs. This causes way way too much insulin to be circulated in your body. Because your body simply just can’t build muscle fast enough, the changes to your metabolism that insulin cause end up having making your body create and retain excess bodyfat instead.

Ever hear the old saying “too much of a good thing is a bad thing”? Well, this is a perfect example.

And that’s why carb cycling can – and should – be used to help regulate your insulin levels. Because you *do* want to trigger insulin in your body…you just don’t wanna trigger too much of it.

How Carb Cycling Builds Muscle

See, carb cycling basically helps you maximize the benefits of insulin like this:

you have a day of high carb intake, which triggers insulin secretion in your body

this leads to your metabolism being revved up and muscle growth process to occur

you then follow up with days of lower and more moderate carb intake

this lets insulin levels stabilize (instead of keeping them jacked up every single day)

instead of having carbs in your system to be used as energy, your body then is forced to use stored bodyfat for energy instead

start all over again

Pretty cool overall process, huh? See how carb cycling has you both maximizing muscle building *and* reducing bodyfat at the same time?

Almost like a sort of ‘double-whammy’.

How would you like to put this process to work so that carb cycling can help you build muscle and lose fat at the same time?

If this sounds like a cool idea, just click on the picture below and find out all about carb cycling. It’s a pretty easy diet to stick to, you only have to work at it for a couple days at a time, and there’s no special crap you need – you could do it with the food that’s already in your refrigerator.

Helps You Lose Fat & Build Muscle

Why Carb Cycling Leads to Losing Weight

When it comes to losing weight, there is something that most people know and remember, but very few actually apply. In fact, it’s about the most important thing you need to keep in mind when you’re trying to cut bodyfat.

Losing weight is all about Calories In vs Calories Out.

If you want to lose weight and drop bodyfat, you have to burn up more calories than you take in.

And carb cycling is the best way to make sure you do that.

Carb Cycling = Reduced Calories Without Trying

So you know you need to burn up more calories than you take in. Well, there are three ways you can do that:

exercise more so that you burn more calories

modify your diet so that you take in fewer calories

a combination of #1 and #2

See, all of these will lead to you burning more calories than you take in. The first option keeps your caloric intake (i.e. – how much you eat) pretty much the same as it is now, only you’re burning up more of those calories via exercise.

The second option (which is where carb cycling comes in) keeps your activity and exercise about the same as it is now, only you’re eating less.

The last option has you eating a little less *and* doing some exercise to burn up those calories. (This is another good option for carb cycling.)

Most of the time, people absolutely HATE #2. I mean, who wants to eat less? Is that ever fun?

But here’s the thing – carb cycling doesn’t have you FEELING like you’re eating less.

Carb Cycling Changes What You Eat – Not How Full You Get

The main reason why people hate diets in general isn’t that they hate eating less. What they hate is the feeling of always being hungry, and never being able to eat.

In fact, that is one of the biggest reasons people fail their diets is that they just can’t handle the hunger anymore, they break down, and end up eating when they’re not supposed to. Then when they do that, they figure they’ve already blown the diet, so they totally go off the reservation and eat whatever they want.

It’s just a downward spiral that perpetuates itself.

But here’s why carb cycling is different – you’re changing what you eat, not how full you get.

On your low and moderate carb days, by nature of the fact that you can’t eat carbs, you’re forced to eat stuff like lean meats, vegetables, and the like. All these foods have a ton of volume for the calories.

That means that you can eat a ton of it – getting full in the process – and still be massively reducing how many calories you take in. Imagine having steak and eggs for breakfast or a big piece of chicken, a piece of steak, and a nice big salad for dinner…and that was a part of your ‘diet’.

Well, that’s how carb cycling will have you eat.

Interested in a ‘diet’ that would have you eat steak and eggs for breakfast? Then click on the big picture below. You’ll immediately get sent to a ton of pretty impressive ‘before’ and ‘after’ pictures there you’ll wanna check out to show just how effective carb cycling can be.

Carb Cycling – Men vs. Women?

A question commonly asked about carb cycling is if it will effect men and women the same way. Can they expect the same sort of results? Will the results happen in the same fashion? At the same speed? Do men and women need to apply a carb cycling diet differently?

These kinds of questions are all generally asked because the fitness industry likes to cater to either men or to women, but generally not both. This ends up resulting in the perception that different diets, exercise programs, and such will affect men differently than it will women.

But more often that not, this simply just isn’t true.

That means that a carb cycling diet plan such as this one will affect men and women the same.

Should Men and Women Do Carb Cycling Differently?

Now, while carb cycling will affect men and women the same way, and both will experience all the same benefits, a few very slight tweaks generally need to be made.

Men just naturally tend to carry more muscle on their frames than women do. (Ever see a man and a woman that both look to be equally skinny and in similar condition, but the woman has a much higher bodyfat percentage? This is why. It’s just natural.) And muscle burns more calories at rest than fat does.

Put all that together and you have men generally burning more calories than women. As a result, men generally have to take in more calories than women, compared to their bodyweight. It just takes more calories to maintain that extra muscle.

So, since women need to take in fewer calories, while they lose weight in the same manner men do on a carb cycling diet, it will take just a bit longer to do it. Although more often than not, this point is moot anyway, as women generally don’t have as much weight to lose in the first place.

Carb Cycling Protein Recommendations

One other slight difference to note between men and women is that because men do carry more muscle on their frame, not only will they need a few more calories, they will need a little more protein, as well.

As an example, on a moderate carb intake day during a smart carb cycling plan, a man might want to take in 1.5 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight. A woman, on the other hand, might only take in .8 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight.

So in the end, carb cycling affects men and women the exact same, the speed of each might be just a tad different, and the application has to be tweaked slightly.

You know, I have a number of friends that are interested in carb cycling. And, of course, the first thing I always do is point them in the direction of the carb cycling book put out by Shelby Starnes and “Big Chris” McCombs.

However, more often than not, they always come back at me with the same question:

“How is This Carb Cycling Book Gonna Help ME?”

See, they almost *always* look at the title of the book – “Carb Cycling for Fitness Professionals” – and immediately assume it won’t work for them, because they’re not personal trainers.

And it wouldn’t surprise me if many of you would like to get started on this carb cycling program, but have the same sort of reservations.

Well, I’m going to tell you the same thing I tell them:

“IT DOESN’T MATTER!!”

Carb Cycling For the Personal Trainer…Even if You’re Not One

I’m going to be honest with you for a minute – if you want carb cycling results, I actually think you’re better off NOT being a personal trainer when you get this book. And conversely, I think that even though you’re not a personal trainer, this carb cycling program will help you out much more than any other carb cycling program would.

Let me explain.

“Carb Cycling for Personal Trainers” was written for…well…personal trainers (just like the title says). That means that the program actually has to include a lot more than just basic carb cycling information.

For example – let’s say I *was* a personal trainer, and I got this program. Now let’s say you’re my client and my goal was to help you:

drop pounds and inches

lose your gut

maybe put on a little muscle

build that tones and muscular physique you want

Well, I know that carb cycling is going to help you do this, right? Well me learning about carb cycling isn’t good enough…not even close.

There’s something that I’m sort of ‘known’ for saying (I drive my friends nuts because I say it so much – it doesn’t matter how smart you are, if you can’t impart that knowledge onto someone else, then you’re not worth a damn as a teacher. (Or coach, or trainer, or whatever.)

And that is the key point – this book would teach me not only all the principles I’d need to know about carb cycling, but it would teach me how to implement those principles with you! And even more importantly still, it would teach me how to MONITOR YOUR PROGRESS.

Diets, workouts, and the like are never static – no two people should be doing the same exact thing, nor should anybody ever do the exact same thing forever. That’s the key point in this program – it would teach me how to help you get started, how to ‘tweak’ it for maximum weight loss, how to ensure the body transformation continues on plan, how to monitor your progress, etc.

In other words – it teaches me how to not only put you directly on the fast track to success, but how to keep you there.

(Because as a personal trainer, this would be *vitally* important, right – that my clients have the best and most success possible? Otherwise, it could literally mean my career goes down the tubes!)

Now, right about now, you might be wondering what all this has to do with you…well – think about it. This program is designed to absolutely ensure that you can put somebody on a carb cycling program that fast tracks them to success, and keeps them there, right? It teaches you what to look for and how to make sure somebody keeps on getting better and better, right?

Well, all you have to do is make that ‘somebody’ YOU!

You never have to train another person – all you have to do is take all the principles it teaches you to apply to other people, and apply them to yourself!

No Fancy-Schmancy Carb Cycling Lingo

Ok, so right about now, you might be wondering how much about the fitness industry and training you have to know. I mean, don’t you have to go to school for that kinda thing or be certified or something?

Nope.

That’s one of the reasons I’m such a huge fan of “Carb Cycling for Fitness Professionals” – it was all written in simple, easy-to-understand language that anybody could read and comprehend.

No special training or education required.

In fact, when I first got my own copy, I had my folks read it (and trust me, they know NOTHING about fitness, diet, or the like). They were able to read it, understand it, and were totally able to write out a simple carb cycling diet plan for themselves…

…all after reading it just once.

So what’s holding you back? Aren’t you ready to start implementing carb cycling into your own life? You know all the benefits that come with it – and now you know you this program will teach you how to easily do it all yourself. Do you have a reason for not getting started today?

No – you don’t. So click the big pic below right now:

The premise of the article was that anybody could lose a great deal of fat, shrink their waist, lean and tone up, and ‘get ripped’ (as the term goes) without ever having to step on the treadmill, elliptical machine, run, or do any cardio work in general.

Now, while a basic workout was provided, the heart of the program was the carb cycling diet that Shelby recommended – which was similar to what he put “Big Chris” McCombs on.

Shelby also went on to add these notes about his sample carb cycling plan:

Cook all eggs with cooking spray and poach or grill all meats. Steam or microwave all vegetables and bake all sweet potatoes. The post-workout meals shown here are for a guy who trains in the afternoon. If you train in the morning, simple rearrange the meals so that the post-workout meal is the first one you have after training.

Carb Cycling Plan Notes:

NOTE #1 – this sample carb cycling plan is NOT a “one-size-fits-all” program. This was written out for a man that weighs roughly 200 pounds or so. If you weigh more or less than 200 pounds, or are a woman, then your needs would change and while the carb cycling principles would remain the same, the diet plan itself would have to change accordingly.

NOTE #2 – this sample carb cycling plan obviously has you eating several times per day. While this is not always optimal or easy for most people, if you can fit it into your schedule, you will see best results.

(**HINT – at that link, you can see one woman who lost 40 pounds, another woman who prepared for a ‘figure’ competition, and two guys who went from having guts to having ‘ripped’ abs…all with carb cycling!)

Carb Cycling on Facebook?

The ‘brains’ behind this awesome carb cycling diet plan and all these impressive body transformations is Shelby Starnes.

Well, I just happen to be ‘friends’ with Shelby on Facebook, and you simply wouldn’t believe all the impressive photos he’s posted there of clients he’s worked with. Here’s a small sample…

(And remember – Shelby uses carb cycling with all his clients!)

According to Shelby, he helped this woman achieve these results in roughly 4-5 months:

This man achieved these carb cycling results in just 16-weeks…and he’s 41 years old!

Shelby used carb cycling to help this man go from 280 pounds to 200 pounds 10 months:

Here’s a bikini competitor Shelby transformed in 12 weeks:

And here’s the same woman from behind…

Pretty Impressive Carb Cycling Results, Huh?

Hopefully by now, you realize just what is possible if you apply yourself to a smart carb cycling diet and workout program. Of course, these results aren’t going to be ‘typical’…simply because most people don’t actually apply themselves or try hard. But if you put the work in, stick to a carb cycling diet, and can be disciplined for a few weeks, you have the potential to change how you look just as drastically as all these people have.

So…are you ready to get started? Good – then just click the picture below:

Carb Cycling – How “Big Chris” Lost 75lbs in Just 5 Months

They say that ‘a picture tells a thousand words’. Well, do me a quick favor – look over at the pictures on the right side of this site. Those are the ‘before’ and ‘after’ pictures for “Big Chris” McCombs. And I don’t know if pictures can really tell a thousand words or not, but if you ask me those pictures say a lot more than that.

Read on with me, as I want to give you a little insight into Chris’ story, how he got hooked up with nutrition guru Shelby Starnes, and just how an easy-to-stick-to Carb Cycling diet helped him lose 75lbs in just 5 short months…

…And how Carb Cycling can do the same thing for you, too.

What Is Carb Cycling?

Simply put, Carb Cycling is just what it sounds like it is – it’s a diet in which you cycle your carbohydrate intake.

This means that you’ll rotate through different days of how many carbs you eat. Some days will have you on a low-carb diet. Others will consist of moderate carb intake. And a couple times per week, you’ll actually be taking in high carbs. The benefits gained from and reasons why you’d want to pursue Carb Cycling plan are numerous:

Carb Cycling ends up lowering the overall number of carbs you eat, and lowering the calories you take in (<–lower calories is the first step to losing bodyfat)

Carb Cycling doesn’t require hardcore starvation

manipulating your body’s normal hormone balance (<–did you know that this alone can help you build more muscle *without* changing your workout?)

easily modified to your own personal needs based on your sex, weight, age, training history, etc

the ‘hard part’ of a Carb Cycling diet only lasts a couple days in a row (<–tell me, is there *anything* you can’t make yourself do for just a couple days?)

How Does Carb Cycling Work?

There is a bunch of science involved (more on that in a minute, but basically, Carb Cycling works like this:

You start off by lowering your carbohydrate intake for a few days. The first thing this does is actually help you lose a bunch of weight right away – some people actually lose as much as 8-10lbs in the first few days!

Don’t get *too* excited, though as this will be mainly water weight. See, carbs act like a sort of ‘sponge’ in that they soak up and retain water. When you eliminate them from your system, these little sponges are no longer present, so you end up dropping a few inches and excess water in your body. But that’s when the fun begins…

First of all, since most people just eat way too many carbs in the first place, by limiting themselves, they restrict caloric intake. And we all know that weight loss is mainly ‘calories in’ vs ‘calories out’. Lower calories (which Carb Cycling will have you doing) and the weight and bodyfat will start to come off.

Next, you’ll need to make up for some of those calories you’re not taking in, so you’ll increase protein intake. Protein signals your body to release glucagon – a hormone widely known to burn fat. Just by re-arranging what kinds of calories you’re taking in, you’re almost ‘tricking’ your body into burning fat.

But, you don’t want to stay low carb for too long. See, carbs are processed by the body into glucose for energy. When this happens, your body is then signaled to release insulin. Insulin is a primary hormone used in building new, lean muscle.

(See how Carb Cycling manipulating hormones is so important?)

But since too many people take in too many carbs, they actually trigger the body to produce too much insulin, and this leads to excess bodyfat. But when you’re Carb Cycling, this never happens! You’re optimizing your natural hormones for building muscle, burning bodyfat, losing weight, and maintaining energy – all at the same time.

So What’s Chris McCombs’ Carb Cycling Story?

“Big Chris” McCombs is a fitness business consultant. Basically, if you’re a personal trainer, own a fitness website, or do pretty much anything else in the industry, he’s the one who can tell you how to make gobs of money.

He’s also a BIG dude who lifts BIG weights…hence the name of “Big Chris”.

Well, sometimes big weights have big effects…and Chris had to feel them, first-hand. A while back, lifting super-heavy caused him to have a *nasty* hernia surgery. This basically sidelined “Big Chris” for a while…a LONG while.

Meanwhile, “Big Chris” was working like a madman in his business. It was growing by leaps and bounds, and he was helping fitness pros everywhere make a ton of money, and his services became more and more in demand.

Needless to say, the gym ended up having to take a back seat for a little while. And while it did, “Big Chris” got…well…bigger.

Eventually, he knew it was time to get back in shape.

Chris’ First Call Was to Carb Cycling Guru Shelby Starnes

If you read my original Carb Cycling post on this site, you know that Shelby Starnes is pretty much ‘the man’ in the nutrition industry. His Carb Cycling methods have helped athletes, pro bodybuilders, regular guys (and gals!), and more get into the best shape of their lives. Shelby is also a highly competitive powerlifter and bodybuilder – the guy ‘walks the walk’.

Shelby put “Big Chris” on his Carb Cycling program. Chris, being the stud he is, followed the program to the letter…and ended up losing 75lbs in just 5 short months.

Again – see the pics on the right side this site to see the results with your own eyes.

You Can Use the *Exact* Same Carb Cycling Program

Chris was so impressed with his own results, he knew that he had to team with Shelby to put out a Carb Cycling program. (Up until this point, Shelby had just worked with one-on-one clients/consulting and had written articles for major magazines and websites.)

Chris’ audience was personal trainers and fitness professionals, so they put together a program that would basically teach you how you design a Carb Cycling diet, monitor it, and implement it. It would teach you:

how many carbs you should eat

when to alter the Carb Cycling plan

which days should be high carb, moderate carb, or low carb

how much weight one should lose, and how fast

differences in apply Carb Cycling to men vs women

I was a big fan of both Chris and Shelby, so I picked this up right away. I was expecting a book full of scientific terms and hard to understand language. Instead, there was a book (and accompanying audio interview) that was easy to understand, simply to apply, and could be done by anybody.

Better yet, I realized that though this was written for trainers, ANYBODY could use it! This was written so anybody could understand it, so all you’d have to do is read it and apply the principles to yourself. Simple as that.

Listen, no diet of any kind is ‘fun’, and it’s not always easy. Carb Cycling is no exception.

However, it IS a diet that with a little work ethic on your part is easy to stick to, even easier to apply, simple to modify when you need to, and will almost assuredly create results.

Personally, I think you can’t go wrong with it. I think you’d be crazy not to check out “Big Chris” and Shelby’s Carb Cycling program, and get yourself into shape right now. Big Chris will tell you his own Carb Cycling story in his own words, and there are plenty of other Carb Cycling success stories there you can check out:

>>GO HERE to Download “Big Chris” McCombs & Shelby Starnes’ “Carb Cycling” Program From their OFFICIAL SITE<<

If you’re interested in carb cycling, please be sure to go through the links on this site to check out Chris and Shelby’s Carb Cycling program at their Official Site – I’ve seen a few bogus scam and virus-infected ‘free download’ carb cycling sites that might not be safe to click on.

Carb Cycling – A REAL Solution

I’m going to be honest with you – there are A LOT of different fad diets out there right now. There’s Atkins, South Beach, paleo, Zone, high carb, high fat…I could go on for a while. And as much as we might not want to admit it, most of these might work a little bit, but for the most part, they’re nothing more than a big money grab.

Luckily for you, me, and everybody else – Carb Cycling is the ‘real deal’.

I’ve been involved in the fitness industry for close to 20 years now. When it comes to working out, I’ve studied, read, and tried pretty much everything under the sun…usually more than once. And I love it – it’s not just my job. It’s my hobby. My passion.

As much as I love training, and all the different nuances of different kinds of workouts, diet and nutrition just bores me to tears. I know it sounds ironic to hear about a guy who enjoys working out but doesn’t care about dieting. But it’s the truth. So as a result, I’ve never been one to do a bunch of research or reading when it comes to diet and nutrition.

In fact, I hate to admit this publicly, but for a long time, most of the diet and nutrition knowledge I had came from bodybuilding magazines. (I used to buy and read a lot of them back in the ’90s.) Because of this, for the longest time, I always thought I needed to eat a ton of carbs. After all, that’s what all the top pros – as well as the top trainers – did. So that was the way to go, right?

WRONG.

Here’s the thing – as I ate diets that were super high in carbs, I noticed I just never felt good. And it made no sense. I mean, carbs are what give you energy, right? Shouldn’t I feel great all the time, given all the carbs I’m eating? You’d think so. But I didn’t – I always felt slow, lethargic, sluggish…just sort of “blah”.

Then the lo-carb craze hit. I knew it wasn’t a great idea from a theoretical point of view, but I was glad that it got people eating a lot more protein. (I always knew people weren’t eating enough protein in the first place.)

Who knew a crazy time in my life would lead to an amazing discovery…

I Found Carb Cycling “On Accident”

I hit a point in my life where I was just insanely busy. I was working crazy hours at my job, doing my online training-related activities at night, had a family to raise, plus trying to get in my own workouts…

Spare time was a precious commodity.

Something needed to give – I was just going in too many different directions at one time. Well, one of the things I decided to do was to give up worrying about always finding a way to make a meal or find food or whatever. I decided to let the KISS principle (Keep It Simple Stupid) reign supreme – most of my calories would just come from protein shakes for a while. I could take the powder with me, pour some water into it, give it a quick shake and BOOM – meal done, time saved, and aggravation eliminated.

Now, I was just using a plain old whey protein powder for this – each serving had plenty of protein, but hardly any carbs or any fats. This was the majority of my calories each day. But there was a problem.

At first it was great! Not only did I have extra time and something less to worry about, but I had more energy, my workouts went better, I didn’t have the ‘full’ feeling all the time, and I actually felt more mentally acute. But, if I did it too many days in a row, I started to feel run down – like I just needed food. So, I’d eat a big meal or two (usually whatever I wanted), and I’d be back on top of the world.

I finally realized that I was doing one day – carb cycling.

Enter Shelby Starnes’ Carb Cycling Book

As fate would have it, one day I was telling a good friend of mine (a fellow trainer) about what I’d kind of stumbled upon in my own nutrition exploits. Like I said before, I was no diet guru, so he was almost stunned that I was talking nutrition instead of training in the first place!

But, I told him of how I was carb cycling, and the effects it was having on me. I was dropping fat, pants were fitting looser, I was feeling better…it was nothing but awesome across the board.

My buddy then asks me if I’ve seen Shelby Starnes’ new carb cycling book? I tell him I have no idea what he’s talking about – LOL.

Now, I knew who Shelby was. I knew he *was* a diet guru, and that when the big boys in the fitness industry (pro bodybuilders, athletes, celebrities, etc) wanted to really get lean, Shelby was the guy they all had on speed-dial. I knew he was a regular contributor to EliteFTS.com, T-nation.com, and had been published in “Flex Magazine” and “Men’s Health”.

I also knew that Shelby was a huge proponent of carb cycling.

Turns out Shelby has a new book out on carb cycling for trainers. It covers everything about carb cycling you could ever want to know:

how much you should eat, and when

which days should be high carb, low carb, or medium carb

how many carbs (and protein and fat) you should eat each day

the difference between carb cycling for men and for women (<–this might very well surprise you)

how much weight you should expect to lose on a carb cycling diet each week (<–this might surprise you even more)

how carb cycling helps you lose weight and drop bodyfat

when to modify your diet, and how

the role carb cycling plays in manipulating hormones (<–this is HUGE)

But the coolest thing was that although this carb cycling book was written for trainers, it wasn’t really for just trainers. It was for *anybody* who wanted to use carb cycling to get leaner, lose weight, and be more healthy.

Needless to say, I got Shelby’s carb cycling book – AND the accompanying audio interview – ASAP.

But Does Carb Cycling Really Work?

That really is the $64,000 question, isn’t it? With all the fad diets out there, does carb cycling really bring the goods, or is it just another scam? Well, you can trust me when I say that carb cycling is not only the real deal – it’s the only diet program you’ll ever need to do for the rest of your life.

I had obviously messed with carb cycling on my own, but after getting Shelby’s book, I put his recommendations to work on myself right away. I lost 6lbs in my first 8 days.

NICE.

Take a look at those huge ‘before’ and ‘after’ pics on the right side of this page. That’s “Big Chris” McCombs. Chris is no stranger to the gym…and he lost 75lbs in just 5 months. All while running a massively successful fitness consulting business (he shows trainers how to expand their business) and coming back from a nasty hernia surgery.

The Coolest Thing About Carb Cycling Is…

The coolest thing about carb cycling has to be that you literally only do it for a couple days at a time. I mean the ‘hard’ days are going to be the days of very low carbs, right? Well, with the nature of a carb cycling diet, you’ll only ever be restricting yourself for a couple days in a row. Three at the most. After that, it’s a glorious high carb day!

Now, that doesn’t mean you can be random about your carb cycling or just eat whatever, whenever. There is a definite order to how and when things should be done. And don’t think it’ll necessarily be ‘easy’…because you know nothing really worth having was ever like that.

But this is the easiest path you’ll find – I can tell you that.

Tell you what, how about you click the pic below and go check out the official site for Shelby Starnes’ carb cycling book. There, “Big Chris” can tell you his story himself – in his own words. And he can put it better than I ever could.

Plus, there are plenty of other awesome ‘before’ and ‘after’ carb cycling pics you can check out.

>>GO HERE to Download Shelby Starnes’ “Carb Cycling” From the OFFICIAL SITE<<

Please be sure to go through the links I have on this site to check out the Shelby Starnes’ Carb Cycling book at the Official Site – I’ve seen a few bogus scam and virus-infected ‘free download’ carb cycling sites that might not be safe to click on.
