Hey there!

My name is Chris McCombs – I wanna tell you a little bit about how a carb cycling helped me lose 75 lbs, drop tons of bodyfat, stay strong, and look the best I ever have in my entire life.

All my friends call me “Big Chris”.  It started a lot of years ago because I’m 6’6″ tall, but at one point, they were calling me “Big Chris” for an entirely different reason…

I’m actually make my living in the fitness industry.  I’m a sort of ‘middle-man’ that connects people looking to get in shape with local personal trainers.  At the same time, I teach personal trainers and online fitness entrepreneurs how to run their business and make money.

Anybody that knows me knows that I’ve always been into working out.  In my 20s and early 30s, I used to train like a madman and eat really clean.  I got fairly muscular (esp for my height) and could throw some pretty big weights around.

That’s When It Went Bad…

Throwing those big weights around came with a price – I ended up getting a nasty hernia that required surgery.

carb cycling chris beforeThings soon went from bad to worse when the surgery went bad, and I was pretty much put on the shelf as far as training went.  Couldn’t do anything.  It was around this time that I decided to seriously focus on growing my business, so I basically let training and a good diet go…

…and I let myself go right along with it.  In fact, I let myself ‘go’ all the way up to weighing 330lbs.

Not good.

Now people were calling me “Big Chris” for all the wrong reasons.

One day I had finally had enough, so I decided it was time to get back into the gym and get my ass in shape.

One Step Forward, One Step Back

I hit the weights hard, and got my diet in check.  It wasn’t long before I’d dropped 20 lbs of fat and put on another 20 lbs of muscle.  I didn’t like the fact that I still weighed 330 lbs, but at least I looked better than I used to.  (Though that’s not saying much.)

Lifting has never been an issue for me – I’ve always dug working out.  The problem was the diet.

See, I could never find a diet that I could stick to that (simply put) didn’t just end up pissing me off.

I was always hungry, or was always eating stuff I didn’t like, or was always only eating small portions of food.  If I missed a meal or had to eat late, I’d get moody and felt like I was gonna tear someone’s head off.

I wanted to lose the fat, but not if it meant being a grumpy SOB all the time.  Something had to change.

Enter Shelby Starnes and Carb Cycling

I knew about a dude named Shelby Starnes.  Shelby is pretty much THE ‘go-to’ guy for everybody in the higher levels of the fitness industry when they want to lose weight.
